Believe it or not, I absolutely love potato fries 🥔 potatoes have multiple health benefits such as being high in fiber and vitamins! The reason why potatoes get such a bad rep for health and weight loss, is mainly owing to the fact that they are often mixed with butter, deep fried or other factors that bump up the calorie content and strip it from its health benefits. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On the left we have deep fried French fries, which has trans fats, high in fats and sodium! Not only that, but it bumps up the calorie content and makes them extremely caloric! 🙅‍♀️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On the right, we have freshly cut potatoes ( you can see by how uneven they are 😂). I usually leave the skin on because of it’s fiber boost ( but I used the peels for a potatoe skin salad instead 😜) ! I cut and freeze potatoes, and place it in the oven/ or air fryer on high until nice and crispy. If you like, you can drizzle a teaspoon or so of avocado oil over if you would like it to be extra crispy. I top mine with sea salt, some onion powder and chili flakes 🤗
